Hey guys,

I haven't written a review in a while, have I?
February was just for our birthday party and March contains lots of live stuff so far.

But today I'd like to review the EP "New Monster Invasion" by Panic Tree.

Panic Tree is an alternative, electro pop duo from Berlin, Germany. The duo consists of Queen Mamatchie (A. Seiffert) on the guitar, keys and vocals and Rocko Dune (T. H. Krohn) on the guitars and vocals.
Formed in early 2012 they managed to release an EP in their first year of making music together.

The EP is called "New Monster Invasion" and here is my review.

Tracklist:
1) Foxy Lovekid
2) New Monster Invasion
3) Blood Fountain
4) Elaine
5) Hot Orange Flames

The first track "Foxy Lovekid" starts energetic and keeps that energy throughout the entire song. You will soon notice how the band definitely knows how to create a big sound:
the drum beat forms the heart of the song, percussions vary in different ways and underline the vocals perfectly.
Male and female vocals build a great contrast but still work well together and compliment each other.

Title track "New Monster Invasion" could be entitled as the catchiest song of the EP.
The percussions lead the track and give it a lot of grip, paired with electric guitars and what sounds like a multi-layered chorus which adds a lot of excitement and colour.

The female vocals definitely stand out on "Blood Fountain" taking turns with the male vocals in the verses but colliding together for the chorus.
Synths, guitars and drums set the scene and again show what thoughtful compositions this band offers.

To sum it up: The clever staging of each track makes this a well produced EP. Vocals as well as melodies vary from soft and light to strong and expressive.
Slighty mysterious yet lively arrangements let you know that this is a band to watch out for.

You should listen to these tracks: Foxy Lovekid, Blood Fountain
